well a genuine dated M48/50 is hard to come by..dont forget tthe US made that style (fishtail) into the 70's..i have WW2 TYPE M43 combat jkt (made postwar for Nato troops) virtually identical in same OD sateen cotton or later M50/51 which is a longer jkt..almost parka length,,.if your interested..both ex stock unissed...

Fishtail parkas.com have a couple mint ones in I think but they are very costly I got the m65 with the wolf fur hood of em last year brilliant and very warm

thanks Ian , I 'll have a look- its for Mrs Bellwood , for some reason she's not keen on the later M65s , hopefully she might compromise with an M51

There is a bloke on Donny market [ the old part where the sheds are] sells military gear and he did have fishtail parka's I don't know the model types but may be worth a look if you are that way on market days only he's asking £120 so not cheap.

Hope to be in donny soon so will have a look
