Posted October 27, 201212 yr Thinking about it, over the years the nights/nighters/dayers I have attended that have not been so busy, I've enjoyed more. Always freer to chat, dancefloor avalable, sit down when you want. I think also with more dancefloor, people are more able to express themselves, get their head down. Just a thought. October 27, 201212 yr Most of the established events Ive been to with quiet dance floors have been down to crap music policies (IMHO)
October 27, 201212 yr Author Trouble is no crowd ,no atmosphere...As Russ Abbott said I'd disagree with that, it depends who you have in.
October 27, 201212 yr I'd disagree with that, it depends who you have in. Yes true Southport weekender was great due to Great music and a good crowd who were up for it
October 27, 201212 yr Thinking about it, over the years the nights/nighters/dayers I have attended that have not been so busy, I've enjoyed more. Agreed Barry..... I always enjoyed Wigan more during the 'supposed' crap years as there was always more room...
October 27, 201212 yr Author Agreed Barry..... I always enjoyed Wigan more during the 'supposed' crap years as there was always more room... It was awful toward the end, rammed to the point of pointlessness.
October 27, 201212 yr It was awful toward the end, rammed to the point of pointlessness. Always thought the saturday after the friday oldies nighter was the best - less full but more people interested in the newer stuff.
October 27, 201212 yr Author Always thought the saturday after the friday oldies nighter was the best - less full but more people interested in the newer stuff. Bang on yeah
October 27, 201212 yr There is a happy medium, most events I have been to with a very low attendance have had no atmosphere. However anyone who has been to the recent Twisted Wheel Sunday sessions have to admit they have not been very good. This is down to huge crowds including a lot of pissheads spilling beer allover the floor who want to add the Wheel to their CV
October 27, 201212 yr Agreed Barry..... I always enjoyed Wigan more during the 'supposed' crap years as there was always more room... And it's was even more enjoyable on a saturday nite straight after the once a month oldies friday nighter, during this period. Valued those nites greater !! As Zed beat me too posting.
