i am new to this so can anyone help or advise, there is a EDWIN STARR single on ebay on the tamla motown uk label, it is AGENT OO SOUL TMG 790 advertised as released 1968. Now when i looked on a motown uk listing it gives the same record exactly including cat.no. but the release date of 1971,anyone help?

tmg790 will be from 1971.

if it is 1971 release why does it say 1968 on the label which it clearly did on the photo on the ebay listing, that was what i was confused about

1968 was when Berry Gordy bought out Ric-Tic/Golden World, and when copyright were transferred to Motown.
