Anyone ever heard of the following :-

Mac Davis "I'm just in love" on Columbia from 1976.

Dorothy Berry "Falling in love all over again" on Tangerine.

& one I've had for a little time . . .

Fenton Robinson's aptly titled record "You're cracking me up" on Giant.

I've never heard any of them played, and they ain't that bad!!

Hi Martin I have the Mac Davis "I'm just in love" I cut a compilation cd and put that on it. When ever it comes on in the car I think ummm what's this and proceed to rack my brains as to what it is. I think he is a country & western singer or something. But I have to say that I like it

Surely that bloke can't be Mac Davis!!! Apart from not looking what I'd have expected, he doesn't even look like a Scotish Soul singer. Nah! don't believe it.

Strange as you should say that, it is a Fame Production!!!

Perhaps it is the same Mac Davis who recorded for CBS and Casablanca. I don't know of any Country & Western singers on Casablanca . . . Donna Summer??

Martin

And ABC records too

Also had a great ballad type tune by Vernon Garrett & Marie Franklin "Without you" on Venture, Frederick Knight's "Let's make a deal" on Truth, and a nice Mowest demo of G.C. Cameron "Don't wanna play pajama games". Even the wife likes the G.C. Cameron 45, she thinks it sounds Motownish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??

Martin
