March 11, 200619 yr Lollipops recorded on V.I.P. also RCA , Impact, Atlantic, Atco, SSS also on Smash and Mercury, but the last two maybe different group, also seems a bit of mystery if the RCA and V.I.P. releases are also different groups.
March 11, 200619 yr Sure there's at least two different ones... puzzled over this a while back and having listened to a few of them sounded very different vocally... was also told that some were the same and others different... but it was at least a year ago so can't remember details, would have to do a bit of searching through old emails etc... maybe later! Be interested to hear a few of the tracks if anyone can post them up

March 11, 200619 yr Here's a site for those interested in girls groups. https://www.history-of-rock.com/girl-groups.htm Heard an interesting programme on the radio a while back as well about the phenomenon where they were saying thet they weren't really divided along racial lines (black girl groups and white girl groups) but along whether they were good girls or bad girls. Gordy 7089 (Lollipops) unissued came out on VIP ..the stock copy with the flip which is superb Northern & very hard to find, Gordy 7090 (Blinky & Edwin Starr) released and relatively common Gordy 7091 (Terry Johnson) never seen this i guess unissued.
