I would recognise that voice from twenty miles away.

I hate it.

But I love the diversity and open mindedness that let the record be played at a Northern venue because it sounded 'right' at the time as a dance record so wasn't tainted with the wierd inverted racism that prevails in some quarters especially in the mid seventies when the closest most White folks on the Northern Soul scene got to real live Black folks was passing them in the street !
