In case you don't know, 'is it because i'm black' by the messengers on a UK 45 release (to promote nutrament) is the ken boothe track, exactly the same as the trojan 7 and 12, and it's about £5-10 usually. There's 3 on musicstack now without looking anywhere else

Plus you can pick it up on Jamaican original Splash label for a fiver.

The only difference is, it's been tarted up on the UK release with strings.

The one Paul mentions above is, as he rightly says, the UK version which has added instrumentation and backing.

The lps dirt cheap and got some nice tracks on it for when your listening at home and dont wanna get up every two mins.. Great cover art too called african lady. Bougt it purely cause i knew the syl johnson version saw it and though my interest was at leadt worth 50p aha
