Attention tech heads!

I want to do this as cheaply as possibly please: I'm going to be doing an outdoor gig in the grounds of an art gallery with lots of workshops/studios attached. What I'd like to do is transmit what's played in FM so that all the studios can have a transistor radio or boombox tuned in. The furthest the signal will have to reach is about 100m and we can position the transmitter on a balcony above us so that we can improve the signal with a bit of height.

Trouble is I don't know what kit I need. It needs to be something I can connect from the back of mixer via phono or jack leads, so that's stuff like the Griffin iTrip out.

Any suggestions gratefully received amigos

interesting q

solution could be useful for switched on promoters with separate smoking areas - record bars etc?

from a quick look  - wikipedia says legal wise  fm transmitters are restricted in power in the uk  which will affect range

anyone out there done such ?

I think I ve found a solution that might enhance a low powered in-car jobbie. Will give it a trial and feedback on how I get on.
