It isn't the same George Clinton (Parliaments etc). He's white for a start. There was a previous topic and I think photo of him if you search SS.

finally found some history..but the track PDRFM..mustve first been played almost as a new release (bit like the skullsnaps) so who first played it on the northern scene? was it from the album, which may have sparked the UK 45 release?

Ian Levine played George Clinton from the new release album at the time, it was released in UK as of result of northern soul demand at the time.

hmm...always wondered...i first remember it from Samanthas/JV...

Sisters Love was originally issued on UK Mowest and then re-issued on black Tamla Motown due to northern demand. Can't say I have ever come across a US 45 of it.
