None of my mates would go there so I went on my own . The place had quite a reputation at the time must have been about 71/72 but it was the place to be on a saturday night in Stockport if you wanted decent music .

I dont remember them serving alcohol probably just as well really :wink:

Yes Grant it used to close about eleven then I think people went of to nighters from there . Did,nt get to know anyone they all seemed older and a bit scary at the time .

The pub on the photo is now Metro taxis opposite asda in the town centre .

Blazes was above a car salesroom and is now a road A560 leading to egerton st

I recognise that. I started coming to Stockport in 76. We tried to get in but they barred me because I had bags on! So I took then off in the street which upset the idiots on the door as they thought I was taking the piss! I think it was an odinary night club then.
