just a demo test of the offers/auction feature

 

basically your item is posted just the same as a normal sales post (in the offers/auction) forum but you can choose an closing time as well if wish

a screenshot showing where and how to set the closing date

 

once the closing date is set then the offers/auction feature automatically kicks in

the system will show the countdown at the top of the post

 

and will display the offer/auction ad on the forum index,  the front page etc etc

noticed the "close date" feature hasn't got used much recently

and so as not sure if this is by choice or maybe people are just not aware of the feature

thought i give this a kick up...

 

basically by using the close by date your item get an automatic countdown and also your auction gets featured in feeds thru out the site (front page and elsewhere)

 

One issue Mike may be on the mobile version of the site there doesn't seem to be the facility visible?

I really Like this Idea Mike! But I would like the Kings go Forth aution you did have to see what others had bid to help make a decision of how much!

asked for bids via replies to thread and that was the only bids that got (2 in total)

 

started at £5 the £40 bid was the winning one

I think thats the best way of doing it!

i am still learning all the functions and features, but this is one of the better vinyl related web sites i've found.
