MAMIE GALORE - IT AINT NECESSARY ST LAWRENCE

 

I know this has been covered before and it's said the boot doesnt have Gragvee on the left side but i have just had this throught the post and would like the benefit of your experience, i have seen a few copies of this and this looks to new the st lawrence seems to be off set and the text seems to bold and dark as well as the font size seems iffy to me

 

these are the ones i regarded as original and in fact this one was the one that was on the ebay page that i thought i was getting

 

 

these are some others i have come across and regard as originals           

 

All of these have the S up against the inner part of left side of the globe and the C leaving the globe

 

I think there is more than one boot of this not just the one without the Cragvee or do you feel the one i have is right ????

There's no mention of a boot in john manships books,  I've just sold a copy on eBay so would be nice to know if it was a boot or not

I have a copy of the manship book and no there is no mention of it. But the difference in the photo's does lead you to think there is, the ST LAWRENCE word is just so far out compared to the others, the text is different, the position of the text above the lines and with it being so popular

For what it's worth....both are original.

 

My Copy also has St Lawrence a bit off centered when compared to the vontastics and there's no way in hell either one are boots.

Think it's fairly simple, record was a small hit, so cover demand pressed a several pressing plants.

Yep think you could be right there Dave, would make sense

Just one last thing, is it not possible then that all the ones with the Cragvee & missing could also be a repress and not a boot ?
