I have two mint copies of this on Josie.

One is on styrene and one on vinyl.

Which is the rarer?

Which one would you keep?

in my experience vinyl is more common. i would keep the vinyl. i also don't see that many promos of this one like i do the other two.

Thanks boba. Think I'll just keep both.

The styrene is probably L.A.'s Monarch (West Cost pressing), vinyl would probably be the East Coast (RCA Pennsyvania plant?), and Midwest (RCA Indianapolis plant?) .

Thanks RobbK. But how do you guys know all this stuff? Always impresses me and thankful for it.

PS - Was there some reason why sometimes styrene was chosen over vinyl? Was it down to cost? And if so, I wonder why all Demos aren't styrene?

at least in the '70s, major label promos were usually vinyl and stock was often styrene, I assume because they didn't want the records getting burned out and played over the air
