    just wondered if anyone knew if there were discography books/information [like the UK record discography guides] on record releases for the following countries:

 

    Italy

    France

    Germany

    Argentina

    Jamaica

 

 Or, is it only the UK/U.S. that produces such things ?

must be, there are certainly several ones for Australia, although not on your list. I have copies of the Festival 1960-69 for sale if your interested?

For France Jukebox magazine has produced several Argus guides on French releases in the 60s. They show a photo of the picture sleeve or label if no picture sleeve as well as the record details. They give a mint price guide based on French values. The prices can be notoriously deceptive for rare soul items where there is strong foreign demand.

Daniel Delorme also published a book on R&B related EPs in similar format back in the 80s. 

Neither are complete but both are very credible works. My own lists go further than both since jukebox 45s are not listed in either of the works.

for Italy the magazine Raro has produced something but it' has a lot missing since there is no reliable documentation to work with.

there is a German guide that I've seen German dealers with but I don't know what it's called. I've also listings from several other European countries which are mainly compiled privately fro different sources.

the vinyl scene is healthy in quite a few countries.
