I will be in NY July 1-5. Staying in Manhattan (near the High Line), but willing to go to Brooklyn, Hoboken, etc.

Any soul or funk nights?

If you're interested in buying 45s, you can always visit me in Hoboken.

There's a soul "party" at Beauty Bar (14th Street between 2nd and 3rd) on Thursday night, July 2.   Not sure who the DJ's are, but it should be a fun night since many people are off work on Friday.

it turns out i may be spinning myself at a bar called "Daddy's" (in Brooklyn) on the 1st. my friend is setting something up.

...but would love to check out the beauty bar on the second.
