It seems that Gixen had problems with connecting to ebay last night.

Anyone else got burned from it? 

It failed on me last weekend. Two records went for considerably less than what my bid was. Frustrating. 

It would be interesting to know if either of you have paid the $6 for the mirror service which places a bid from a different server and apparently is 100% reliable (excluding issues caused by ebay)

I haven't. I had snipes on about 5 records. The first three went through, but the last two - nothing.

This is the first time i ever had a problem with it.

Touch wood I've never had a problem with this during the 3 years I've been with Gixen (but I have been paying the $6 for the mirror snipe)

I can't even remember now the previous sniper I was with for many years (just know it got too expensive) but I do recall that on  a couple of occasions my bid didn't go because of technical issues.

Funny enough I've seen some very low prices going through on ebay  recently and I hadn't bothered to snipe because I assumed they would go higher than my maximum.
