'record wants' how to get alerts???

anyone know how to get an alert when a record you're searching for suddenly becomes available? like ebay or discogs..

With eBay you search for it, then it offers to follow the search (used to be saved searches) and providing you've click in the get email notification box you should then get an email.

With Discogs you search for it and add it to your wants list by clicking on the option by the right hand side, they email you when one is for sale

With Ebay Follow Searches you can only put a limited number of searches. Is not much.

What you need is https://itemalarm.com/

Free service that will email you when an item goes up for auction.
