Who remembers this absolute gem written by Curtis Mayfield and recorded in[1966] on the Atlantic label Patti sings her heart out here and the whole production is just beautiful, but it wasn't a big hit, but a soul classic always.

Bought the "Dreamer" LP 30-odd years ago and for me, this was always the standout track, full of emotion, very restrained in some sections and absolutely full on in others, this may just be my all-time favourite Patti LaBelle & the Blubells record - great choice.

Always liked Trusting In You and think it should be played out more.

I bought this when it was new.  Curtis Mayfield is my top songwriter.  I've searched in vain for an original release on a Chicago artist for these 50 years.  Has anyone heard if there was a release of this song sung by a Chicago artist?  Even just an unreleased demo version?
