It turns out the album version of "I'm in love", is a totally different song to the 45 (although its still a great track). Does anyone know if the album version came out as a 45? here is the album version:

 

Nope, don't think so.  When I was young I bought the single thinking it was the same, but didn't think about it not having a Womack credit

Thanks for confirming. Odd that he titled two totally different songs with the same title!

I've always associated this with Wilson Pickett, closely followed by Aretha Franklin and then Maxine Brown, but his version ain't too shabby either!
