So i did a 7 day listing and as usual somebody has waited until literally last minute to make an offer.  I dont understand why but it happens quite often its a strange tactic imo ?

 

but now the item has ended i am struggling to find out who made the offer and i cant contact that person.

 

anybody know how i might be able to see who it was ?

 

the offer is still showing in my messages but username is not with it.

an email usually is sent to you when an offer comes in, have you checked there ?

Yes i got that as normal.

but as the item has finished it seems any reference of who made the offer has gone.

probably to stop any attempt to trade off ebay.

i've relisted now so maybe whoever placed the offer will see it.

if it ended just before the offer, ebay would have stopped any messaging on the item for the reasons you said.
