I was watching an item and it has just disapeared off my watch list.  Not even showing as no longerr available.

 

my guess is its been sold before auction ended amd is no longer available.

 

in the past didnt this kind of thing still show on watch list but as an completed item or did they always used to disappear ?

I've seen "item is no longer available" but never had the listing disappear.

   The seller probably got an offer from a buyer he couldn't pass up.

Yes thats the funny thing.  If he or she (equality LOL) did get an offer and ended auction early i'd still expect to see it on my watch list as no longer available.

 

there must be some other reason its not showing i dont remember this happening before maybe it has and i just didnt notice.

If there was some listing violation eBay themselves can independently pull it, and the listing then vanishes completely. It's happened a few times on things I was looking at, luckily never on my own sales though.
