February 4, 20196 yr Back in the 40's / 50's / early 60's dance acts such as Peg Leg would play all the big Chitlin circuit theatres (Apollo, Howard, Royal, Regal, Fox, etc). A number of other similar acts also did the same ... acts such as Stump & Stumpy (jazz dancers & comedians) + Coles & Atkins (which featured Cholly Atkins who would go on to be the Motown dance master) ...
