Interesting read about the environmental impact of producing vinyl for today’s record market.

PVC [Polyvinyl chloride] contains carcinogenic chemicals, and the operation produces toxic wastewater that the company has been known to pour into the Chao Phraya River according to Greenpeace, which says TPC [Thai Plastic and Chemicals Public Company Limited] has “a history of environmental abuses” going back to the early 1990s.

This is why I "sell/recycle" old vinyl instead of "new" vinyl, I was discussing this the other day and it's a great article
