Yes, tonight 26th September 2020 is prominently marked in my calendar as the 41st Anniversary at the 100 Club.
Even though the last few months have had us surviving via online events it is none the less a fantastic achievement. Congrats to Ady and all involved, both past and present. Such a shame that we can't be there tonight, but I felt obliged not to let the occasion pass unmarked.
A bit sad that by now I should have been pressing my strides and polishing my Royals in preparation for what surely would have been a rammed Blue Posts, buzzing with anticipation of what awaited around the corner and down those hallowed stairs. I miss it. Missing all of my mates too. Hey-ho, we'll be back!
If anyone wants to shout out any Hello's, post any reminiscences of the venue, or fantasise about what the 41st Anniversary Single might have been, feel free to post away!
Been looking forward to tonight all year , in the vain selfish hope that things might have calmed enough to have allowed the anniversary to take place , instead I shall just have to raise a glass of v
