Wow!!! What a brilliant Record. Never heard it before. The slow start is great. That break down at 1.09 min was completely unexpected. Love the Funky Guitar, Brass backing & Backing vocals. Johnny  D vocal performance is on power too, reminds me of a cross between James Carr & Roy Hamilton. It's one of records that gets better has it goes along. Good to know that there's still sounds out there that can still ' light you up '. Thank you for posting=0)

Does he sing “the love boat” theme ?

Awful record IMO. But as they say “One man’s Lavern Baker is the other man’s Helen Shapiro”. Or so.

Reminds me of a cross between James Carr and Roy Hamilton ? Sounds like a crap singer to my ears.
