Billy Hawkes A Northern Jazz Dance Hybrid?

Does anyone know a track called "OOH BABY I BELIEVE IM LOSING YOU" by BILLY HAWKES off the album: HEAVY SOUL (PRESTIGE)? It has been played on the Jazz Dance scene in the 80's/90's.

Has anyone ever heard it played at a soul event? Its much more Soul than Jazz with a great handclapping beat with just a slight jazz tinge. It is an absolute stormer of a record. Ive never heard it played at a Northern do but I reckon it would be big if played.

Never released on 45 as far as I know so thats maybe why no Northern DJ's have picked up on it. If I ever get behind the decks at a do I will be spinning it. Cant recommend it enough.

It's had lots of plays on Mod Scene over last 15 years+

It has been played at Northern Soul nights/allnighters but can't recall hearing it at a soul event for a long time.

It did get a 7" foreign release (though I can't remember which country...) Mik Parry has a copy.

And reissued on a UK BGP 45 a few years back.........fond memories of this from the early jazz dance scene........

Great track played it at northern soul night in Cambridge some really liked it (I know Max Rees did !)

A Mod Classic...........! 2 FANTASTIC LPs on the Prestige label !! :thumbsup:
