ADY, Been thinking this for year,s mate, why don,t you do a book on the history of KENT records, giving all the lp + cd listings , etc, aswell as the story,s of im sure you have many ?? i think this would sell lot,s.. Just ordered that other book, spoke about on hear, searchin, for soul. etc. Which made me think about it all over again, SO how about it Ady ? hope to see you dec in harb (soul nite ) Martyn (leic)

Kent CD's always come with great notes and it would be nice to have all that info bound into one book - as well as the tales behind the compilation / licencing ect.

Hi Martyn,

Funnily enough someone's doing a book on the history of Ace Records which will contain quite a lot on Kent but there is enough for a separate Kent book with all the stories of how things did or didn't come about. Unfortunately it would be too time consuming at the moment so I'll have to save it for my retirement which will probably coincide with our Golden Jubilee!

Have to agree, even if it was just all the CD liner notes it would still make a fantastic book. If you added in all the stories that didn't make it to the CDs to the book it would be a must buy for every Soul fan in the world.

Go on Ady, reconsider doing it. You should have all the liner notes saved on file somewhere, you've got access to graphic designers to put it all together, in fact you could even get it out for Christmas this year if you really tried
