I'll be in Erding, just outside Munich, for two weeks from the end of February and I hope to get into Munich over the weekend of 1st-2nd March for some sightseeing and shopping. Does anyone know of any second hand record shops in the city that might have some soul vinyl to trawl through?

Hi Salv, I was there about 5 years ago and found what looked like an interesting one with some boxes of 45 on floor but as it was Sunday it was closed, unfortunately we were just wandering so can't tell you much about direction. Are you also on RSF forum, if so post over there, Marc Forrest is on and may know, although he think he is more Berlin. Most shops we found seemed to seel new stuff only,

It sure is Paul, think it used to be a huge brewery there, although it is available worldwide now so not sure.

Damn damn fine beer, one of the beers that has put me off our poor imitiations since returning from that lovely country that is Germany.

i doubt that marc is of any help for you, i don't think he'd ever been to munich (or at least in the last 15 years)

but being from munich myself i wish i could help you with some shops but i can't. stopped record hunting in munich a couple of years ago due to lack of decent shops. there are some shops for any kind of electronic music, indie, etc. but soul-wise? i know of one shop which used to have some nice lps but that was years ago. if you want can PM you the address.

re. erdinger beer: it may be the best known wheat beer but it's not the best one by far. when you're here try "unertl" or "schneider", much much better!
