Posted February 26, 200817 yr I just realised that all eight 45s on the Planetary label are produced by David Gates (later of Bread fame etc.). There are four 45s on that label by him (one under his own name and three under pseudonyms). All sides on the Dorothy Berry 45s are also written by him (and supposedly the ones on his own 45s as well). Does anyone of you know what the deal is? Did he own the label? Was he the A&R guy?

February 26, 200817 yr Author hi Sebastian, all i know about the guy, apart from Bread,is he wrote and sung the wonderful "Everything i own".Later covered by Ken Boothe. Thanks Kev. Haven't heard the Ken Boothe version. I know quite a bit about Gates, but this Planetary Records connection was completely new to me.
