Great label and most of em except for Dusty Wilson are a bargain for such quality tunage.

Out of interest i've lost count of the times ive seen "i can't stand it" for sale on here for around the £50 mark and no one's bought it :thumbup:

Underplayed /unknown maybe??

SOUNDFILE IS ON SOULCLUBJUKEBOX FOR ANYONE WHO DOES'NT KNOW IT :thumbup:

I would'nt be suprised if this record actually turned out to be really rare!

Had one way back Joan but let it go, thanks for all the comments chaps, keeping my eye on one on Ebay but thought I would ask here as the guy selling it won't take pay pal which is a bit of a pain so if anyone can supply me with a copy fantastic.

Do what i do Mark when they do not except paypal, get an old cassette tape case, scrunch the dollars up and shove them inside the case, tape up the case and put in a padded parcel, write fragile on it, then when the post office writes down whats in it and sticks it on the parcel, just tell them a tape cassette. works for me, and never failed.

Cheers Jock, not a problem sending cash it's just a hassel really, I normally put cash in some tin foil into a padded parcel and never had any problems, see what happens.......lol

Know what you mean Mark ,i'm the opposite i prefer paypal than cheque ,only because my wife banks the cheques and thus finds out how much money i have,then, consequently , finds things to spend it on :yes::lol:

Good question Joan what are they singing about..... I picture them pulling out their hair looking up to the sky having just had another mind numbingly boring weekend of played to death oldies played at most of the Midlands venues at the moment....

£25 record a few years ago, played out a lot of places,on loads of lists...........until i sell mine :shades: as bloody normal.............aint worth over 40 imo ezzie ...... didnt know it was still bein played ohmy.gif

Hi Ezzie, I'm not really interested in if it's been played/overplayed or still being played more the fact I simply want the record back as it's two superb sides and something I would like to play on my radio show from time to time which is pretty much all the DJ'ing I'm doing at the present time, agree with you on the price I think I paid about a tenner for my old copy which I let go way back.

I pulled piles of Mutt 45's (but ot the Dusty Wilson) in quantity out of Bob Mays in Detroit 20 years or so back and so I should have a mint spare Sophisticates buried away somewhere...if I remember right Bob only had small amounts of The Majestees but the others I got loads from him. Will have a look when I get chance.
