August 15, 200816 yr Very sorry to hear that Paul. The man who first coined the term "Rhythm & Blues". Was only watching him a couple of nights ago on the Re-Run of the TV Series "Soul Deep". A Major contributor to our music, with Atlantic Records, Aretha and his contribution to Muscle Shoals. Wad a man! Must have been in his 90's, I guess. R I P Sean

August 15, 200816 yr I met Jerry once at The Apollo Theater. I was playing in the pit for a show called "Miss Truth" and he came to see the show and meet the cast and band. I had a quick crush on his daughter (Anita) too. She was an A & R person at a label I can't recall and she liked one of my records but turned it down eventually. Jerry was a pioneer for sure.
