I wonder if anyone can help.. joined this website today to try and find an old mate.

I've been away for a long time, before i went away i was good friends with a lad from Bedford called Russ Breen. I've seen his picture here on Jon Buck's Leighton Buzzard Hall of Fame gallery, but he was a lot younger then and i can't find contact details.

We used to go to niters in the early 80s, thumbing lifts and stealing his mums slimming tablets..

He was always good fun and used to hang around with a guy called Tufty who was also in the photo. I know he had associations with the Milton Keyes scooter crowd and owned a Lambretta.

The last time i heard about him he had had a bad accident and i wanted to know that he was OK.

Any info/contact greatly appreciated.

Hi Joe,try finding Russ in Brighton.I think he runs a famous jazz club.Tuffty runs a scooter shop in the Isle of Mann.

Hi Joe me and 12shades are from Bedford and used to go to niters in the 80's maybe we all went together or names are Mark holland and Grant Sullivan maybe you remember???

Hi there, think there might be a mixup here with another guy. Russ Breen is alive & well and still living in Beds area - I just spoke to him a few days ago as he was hoping to come to Bisley with us. Still gets out to some soul dos, rides a Lambretta and always goes to IOW scooter rally, but has 2 small kids so not quite so often as he used to. He did have a terrible road accident back around 2000 but made a pretty good recovery and is working etc. He'll probably never throw a backdrop again, but that might be a blessing
