September 18, 200816 yr Tighten Up Volume 1 (Trojan) 2xCD After the Duke Reid 7" vinyl Box Set Judge Sympathy which appeared to be a project already finished by Trojan's previous owners Sanctuary, and a set of budget priced single artist compilations, Universal; who recently acquired the Trojan catalogue as part of their buy up of Sanctuary, appear to be happy to keep the legendary reggae label's identity intact with this excellent deluxe reissue of the original 1969 Tighten Up (Volume 1) album. Retaining its original cover art, presented in a gatefold digipak adorned with full colour promotional photo's on the fold-outs and an illustrated booklet with extensive notes from compiler and project co-ordinator Laurence Cane-Honeysett who, happily, has also made the transition from Sanctuary to Universal. The orginal twelve tracks run first followed by their original UK B sides, while on Disc Two a further twenty-four tracks from the same late sixties time-frame make up Disc Two. So once more round the block for this evocative music and another chance to familiarise yourself with the sounds that kicked it all off in Britain. 1775154
