Just bought this on the strength of the 'DJ Genesis' track, 'Tribute to Betty' I love the 'Genesis' track and I wanted to hear the tune that the song was about, and apparently this is it. I got it for £1.99 on the bay, so even if it's s*ite It'll make a nice cheap ashtray

Does anyone have a soundclip of it please?

Call off the search for the soundclip, 'Youtube' obliged willingley , Now I see where the 'DJ Genesis' came from, it's more or less a faster version of the original, it all becomes clear, and what a fabulous tune. What do you think?

Also the "b" side on UK RCA of Shoo Ra Shoo Ra

The bass guitar in the live version makes it more similar to the DJ Genesis version and IMHO far better than the studio version, it's a pity it is live with the crowd noise and the long spoken intro...

what a supurb track, the more i hear it the more I love it. I'm definately toying with the idea of playing it at my next gig in Leeds, a little downtempo yes, but still quite danceble and I think the crowd will love it all the same.

the long 1978 version is the hit version though, they still play that version (the full LP version) on the radio every week, at least in Chicago.

If you play the LP version @ 45rpm, it sounds a bit like the DJ Genises version!!! p

Agree it is a classic

I have now recieved the track from the seller. On the 'B' side is the same version but just the song. The 'A' side is the talking part (Rap) and fades just before the she starts singing. Really nice, and came in the original 'TK' Productions' sleeve too which 'Alston' is a subsiduary label of.
