Through the letter box today came:

The Debuts - If I Cry - Scudder

New to me. Sort of Blue Eyed / Beach with horns type number, a bit like the Tempests to my ears.

Is this known, ever played, worth anything etc?

Cheers,

Godz

First Bernard Manning, then this.

Have I upset you or something, Pete?

No, I thought it would be funny to say "there's no such record" for no reason at all.

In fact I laughed out loud when I read it back.

Little things please little minds

Just bumping this up as it's had 70+ views but no replies.

Anyone familiar with this?? Might appeal to those who like the Intentions 45 on Up Tight discussed last week.

Thanks in advance

and don't you start again Pete...

Cheers, Daz whistling.gif - I'll relegate it to the cupboard of doom then.

The Debuts were a high school/teenage 'garage' band (I collect those kinds of 45s, so if youse gots any let me know!) and they were from Memphis, TN.

The Scudder 45 was the local issue before Atco, from 1968. "If I Cry" is the non-garage side, sung by Jimi Jamison, who would go on to be the lead singer of everybody's fave rock band in the late 70's and 80's, Survivor

"Eye of the Tiger", indeed!

The Scudder 45 isn't that rare at all, at least from my hunting perspective.
