November 13, 200816 yr Author Didn´t you you just sell records to buy x-mas presents to the little `un? Ah well, dads need pressies too! well I tried to sell a few bits but with only one record sold and one other on hold (and no reply to my PM yet) it seems that my daughter won't even get the ponytail of the rocking horse she wants for christmas Only joking, been after Dave Charles for a while w/out really hard searching for it but mentioned it in an email. lo and behold a mate offered me a copy...
November 13, 200816 yr A fella I know in Ohio found 4 (think he said 4) mint copies about 2 or 3 years ago. I had one off him, should have took the lot, as he then went & put the rest on ebay & they made a fair bit more from what I remember. Great looking label. Infact, give me a minute & I'll stick up a scan.
November 13, 200816 yr Just as a matter of interest Does anyone know the Tillie Wow record on the same label?
November 13, 200816 yr Just as a matter of interest Does anyone know the Tillie Wow record on the same label? Hi John, No, is it any good? Would that by any chance be number D-703 on the label? I know the Gladiators. Ady.
November 13, 200816 yr Hi Ady 2 fairly nice sides...one uptempo the other nice mid tempo I'm at work at the moment...will pull it out tomorrow ( record that is ) and feed back
November 14, 200816 yr Hi John, No, is it any good? Would that by any chance be number D-703 on the label? I know the Gladiators. Ady. The Gladiators are a pseudonym for Mickey and the Clean Cuts, a white band that played the music on the Dave Charles 45. M&CC also have a 45 on their own name. Everyone involved with the Donnie recordings were from Lorain, Ohio. Same city as the (7) Nombres were from. - George
