November 13, 200816 yr Columbia issue is a Tom Moulton mix, fuller orchestration to my ears,the Don DE issue cut at Sigma Sound.This also got a uk release (Moulton mix) Hope this helps, Rob h.

More or less what I would have said - They're the same recording but Moulton really brings out the strings and Earl Young's drumming, and the reverb on the handclaps makes them sound absolutely enormous. The Don De is definitely more collectable, of course, but the Columbia's cheap enough that it's worth owning both (like I do )

November 13, 200816 yr Try CBS They had 2 others out on UK CBS Hurt So Bad & I Was A Lonely Man (possibly their best Northern) just played them and they are GREAT!
