Posted January 15, 200916 yr The Supremes exhibition which was at the Victoria & Albert museum last year is moving to Birmingham for a 3 month stint - from 21st February. Details are here: Supremes at the BM&AG Anyone who went in London - is it worth a look?? MB P.S. The other day the B'ham Mail was appealing for anyone who saw the Supremes at Birmingham Odeon in 1965 - when that first British Tamla Motown Revue hit town.
January 15, 200916 yr It's on at the Grundy Art Gallery in Blackpool at the moment. Runs until 1st Feb. Not been though so I can't say if it's any good.

Saw this a few years ago at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and whilst it is worth seeing I think it's fair to say that once you've counted the sequins and marvelled at the costumes there isn't that much of substance that you couldn't find out elsewhere. Nice to see it all together though, probably worth the £7.00 to see it. Incidently the R&RHOF also had some Temptations stage outfits on display.....now they were fancy.

January 15, 200916 yr It's FREE ADMISSION in Blackpool! Went on Sunday, Nothing you don't know, but interesting nonetheless. Not a bad way to spend an hour or so on a rainy afternoon. ATB Tony
January 15, 200916 yr The V&A did a great job of building the story of Motown and Detroit around the dress collection with storyboards and memorabilia. Well worth a visit if the set up is the same in Brum.
January 15, 200916 yr Went the 1st week it opened in Blackpool - thought it was excellent - really captured the spirit of the sixties I thought - well recommended!!
