Just got back from rife and found manhattans bar closed down. No doubt a few of SS readers will have had a good night out there over the years.

Managed to find another bar in Fanabe called Motown that was not too bad, but no Northern. On the upside, the food was good and the beer was cheap (er).

Had an email from Steve on 17th February (copy below) seems like the credit crunch is not just in the UK. Shame had quite a few good nights there.

hopefully we will meet again sometime in the future(aint no soul left in tenerife)

What a shame - we had a fantastic time in there Spring 2005. Will never forget the Soul Quiz, little did we know when we entered that Nick Borst and his crew were behind us and won with the "Who originally sang Rock the Boat" question (Hues Corporation)

yup, sad sad news, we go across their twice a year, October and March, it was dead in October and Steve was telling us (22 of us go away every year) that if it does not pick up he might have to close for a few months .....we first went their 4 years a go, found it by chance......great little place, Steve is a good lad .....shame he has to closed down, spent many a night their........we were across in March, went one night ...and closed down .....hope it picks up for him ....
