Larry Levan rare interview
plugging site features mark embedding after the upgrade you can now take advantage of the youtube time start embedding feature just find the place where to start and tick the "start time" box on yt then post the new link and you get the above also the video feature on here is a good place to 'dump' quality links adding is a 5 sec thing but the time taken is worth it as all sections in there are building up nicely to a decent reference and as it gets used its gets improved concert interview section /videos/category/10-artists-concertsinterviews/

New release Northern hits
the 12 was massive on the hesc alldayers etc and as been said fairly sure made it to wigan etc - that 2 mins of percussion was what it was all about for me dont think anyone has mentioned that with a lot of these new releases they were similar things going on as with 60s rarities but instead of rarity due to the lets say numerical reasons it was about rarity due to the availability - new releases as promos/imports were at some points in their life just as exclusive as rare 60s plays as in you had to be on your toes to get/hear the latest, and also as with 60s plays stuff was dropped from the main venues once available to all a case of not hearing the rarest but hearing the newest which seemed to fit in well at the time as very similar approaches of course as with a lot of these things you had to be there and sometimes looking back you may wonder if it may just have been you in your very own young bubble/world

Gemm - Whats the final end word?
Reported in this thread that no longer going and as the website doesn't load looks like its now long gone What the view of members on this now piece of history website I used to use it a fair bit back around early 2000s but over time used it lesser and lesser as its use as both sales (quite a few bargains at first) and use as a reference faded. demise reasons ? whats your take.. ?

Arthur G Wright - Sad News RIP
Ady C posted up in the forums today the sad news that Arthur G Wright passed on last week "A giant of our music died last week aged 78 years. His influence on soul music was immense and we listen to his arrangements and guitar at virtually every night we go out to dance. So sad" you can read and comment on this sad news via the forum thread here... The website Arthur G Wright is well worth a visit as it is full of info, pics and more, the 'about me' section is a 4 page story of his early history and sure there's a lot more on there. http://arthurgwright.com Clip below is from there ...worked for many years as a "first call session player on bass/guitar", my guitar solos have been heard on such recordings as: Diana Ross' "Love Hangover", Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way", and other Motown recording artists such as "Smokey" Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On", and The Temptations . Other artists include Ray Charles, Vikki Carr, Donna Summer, Jose Feliciano, Ike & Tina Turner, Billy Preston and blues singer Little Johnny Taylor. I worked with producer Hal Davis and other producers, even co-produced with him and others over the 20+ years that I worked at Motown Records...

LP Cover Art - Framed ?
Have some blank lp album frames that have picked up over time in the local bargain type shop Not as easy making use of them as I first thought it be, so thinking that may be both worthwhile and entertaining for a pinterest style topic.... How about a suggestions for lp covers that would look good framed and up on the wall topic any ...... ?

Lucky Cordell, RIP
harsh surely time be better spent informing rather than trashing someone could ask why were you waiting 18 hours to post ? anyway the threads about the passing on of Lucky Cordell better off using feedback forums for comments on the site members or their posts rather than such news thread
