Am sure that many on here know Billy and Karen. Recently they passed on a letter asking it to be published on soul source.. Billy and Karen Cragg would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all the people who helped raise money at the Charity All Dayer at Lowton. We are sorry for this delay in letting you know the total amount raised, but due to illness and waiting for monies to come in it has taken time to total the final amount. Most of you will know that the charity event was to raise money for Arrow Park Hospital who cared for the short lives of our prematurely born grandchildren twins, Alfie and Alicia. Big thanks go to everyone on the soul scene that attended or contributed their services. A special thanks go to the people who donated money and prizes for the raffle, the DJs who played for free, Sam Evans who collected £300 whilst dj-ing. To Steve Thomas from Anglesey who raised £110 raffling an Everton strip and a Warrington Wolves rugby kit. To Richard Searling, Kev Roberts and Soul Source for promoting their events on their radio shows and websites. A big thank you to our dear friend Tommy Hunt (http://www.tommyhunt.co.uk) and his wife Mandy, also Johnny boy (http://johnnyboynorthernsoulsound.piczo.com) who gave their time to perform live on stage and help with the fund raising. Thanks also to Roger Banks who gave us records to the value of £600 we passed them onto Chris Fletcher who said he would sell them for us on ebay . At this date we have not received any of the money from him and he is nowhere to be found!!! We had a fantastic event and realized what lovely and supportive friends you all are helping us raise a WHOPPING £3,450 William and Nicola had a beautiful baby boy, Alden Alfie, born on the 19th December 2006, he is helping to ease our pain. This upcoming Saturday see's the next nighter in the now long running series of allnighters held at Amlwch in Anglesy. No bones for giving this a mention up here as always enjoy them thoroughly and do reckon the guys behind it deserve the exposure for putting on such a great event. Run by Steve Thomas and Gags its coming up to its two year mark now and deserve a shout as during these two years, thanks to their efforts have seen some of the top uk djs making the trip up to this most northern point of wales , who along with a regular bunch of uk wide travellers and all the local regs have helped make this event one of the highlights on my fridge based rare soul calendar Firm beliver in the no one ever said northern has to be easy theory, and this place fits right into that theory, off the beaten track, passing mountains and such just to get there. Seems the below was sent out last week by email from VIP radioVIP Radio is temporarily off the air. This is due to the Managing Director becoming seriously ill with no replacement available. The Radio Station is in discussion with other parties as to its future. We thank you for your support, interest and listenership in VIP. Once matters are resolved, we will contact you again. Hopefully the GOOD TIMES will be back sooner rather than later. Thanks and Best Wishes, VIP Radio the website did have some sort of news post up, but no sign of it now, its displaying its normal page, and the player etc does open, but when try and listen there's no streaming (for me at this end at least). any more news or updates to this most welcome if were/are a regular listener (which have to say am not) and do need something to fill the gap, there are many online radio shows doing the business already on many stations rather than pull a list together think be quicker and more uptodate if ask any members viewing this that if do have any suggestions could hit the comments link and pass on any recommendations along with details
