Au contrare mon ami.. By all accounts it is a 60's release. Obviously I don't know 100% - or else I'd have said LP - but my sources are more than one, and (usually) reliable stalwarts for this type of trivia. Even to the point of sometimes providing explanations as to the actual why's & wherefore's of such delights.

Most certainly UK only release Ray.. But it did, first, come out on UK C.Parkway, with the Mojo release a straight re-issue of the two CP sides. I just recently got rid of a copy - very attractive price, too.. As an 'extension' on this thread - I've been told that there is a UK only 'Compilation' LP.. Including an elongated version of Dobie Gray's classic 'Out On The Floor'. Being an avid LP collector, That's the sort of thing that tickles me tonsils !! Fingers

My link Fingers Blog Blah.. Part 1: Amazing.. Innit !! I go and do a three-venue/two-day weekend - armed with plenty of my little musings to form my next blog offering - and what happens !?! The site goes off-line for four days !! How many others found themselves staring at a screen that displayed a message you really didn't want to be seeing ?? And realising - as I did - just HOW much reliance is placed on the $oul $ource site as THE main daily media for us $oul Freaks. Four days was a looooong time to go without a $.$. fix. I know that !! The Events Lookbacks post/reviews took a hammering, with most people (as I was, by then) past that stage where the enthusiasm for such posts is at it's optimum. Instead, I'll just do a Blog of Many Blahs.. Hence the initial heading. With each Blah relating to one of the four promotions I attended these past two weekends. Part 2 is The Wilton 'Niter - Friday 17th July..

Got an Issue (ex) and at least one white promo - maybe two, with different label designs.. Max £50 for DJ or 40 for the issue if of any use.. Fingers

I just LUURVE the 'Let's Form A Commitee' side on the #123 release - which is the later release to #100 (which has 'Lonely Man's Hum' on both sides). I'd put the '100' (1st) issue at double the price of the '123' (2nd) release, so would agree with your sentiments Nev Fingers

£20 !!?!! Not that I go on ebay often - or look at LP's when I do - but I havn't witnessed this album sell at that sort of low price. Even early 90's it was fetching $100 - & that was on the U.S. collector's market. Whilst I don't deny it would be possible to pick up a 'cheap' copy (that can, & does, happen even with four figure discs.. On the very odd occassion, & for whatever the reasons..) that would not prove to be the norm in my pinion. In fact, I'm just gonna do a quick Popsike search to see what it throws up. I'll be right back.. Okay, below are the two pages of the popsike search results. Certainly there have been a couple of 'bargains' (just last december, even..) but I feel the general price(s) is more in keeping from where I was coming from (above). Unlike my 45's - of which the majority I would sell (if the price(s) were right) - my LP's are items I would never have a desire to unload, I'd much rather ADD to my collection. That's despite having three copies of the 'Tastiest Hits' release.. they pale into insignificance when placed next to my White Label Promo copy on Maxx which I was fortunate to purchase in 1989. I wish you luck with your search for a Maxx copy - but if a 'Tastiest..' copy would suffice until you secure one on Maxx, I'd gladly mail you a 1st Issue Bell copy.. All I'd ask is for you to cover the cost of postage once the item is received. Fingers..
