I think it's more of a subtle thing, smoother 70's, beautiful Luther V style voice, fender rhodes. Certainly ain't northern big room stuff, more chilled bar sound. But yes, strokes for folks Dave.

It was always a shame the Tonys 'i couldn't keep it to myself' never got a single release. The LP was too low cut to play it out from without getting feedback.

Very rare, pretty much unknown Canadian/Caribbean deep funk/R&B dancer. Leo Simpson - 'I Know you don't love me' on Counterpoint label. I can't find hardly any info on this and no audio anywhere apart from this file I have made. It's a proper bomb tune and would sound great played out loud. It's the first track on a 4 track EP. I would grade as VG as there are a few light marks and a bit of light pop and crackle at the start which can be heard in the audio clip, but it plays great other than that. I would like £175 as I won't come across another anytime soon.

I've got a 12" that I would swap for a Bilalian Creation 12".

It used to be a well known tune on the UK reggae scene in the 80's. I've got it on a compilation LP somewhere and you used to see the 12" around all over. I can't possibly believe it's a £500 45, that's ridiculous.

Matt, I have the Soul Explusion 45 on the rarer Tarantel re-issue label. It got re-issued on 2 labels by Athens I think, but this is the rarer of the 2. £40 if you want it. I paid more for it before I managed to get a proper orig copy.
