Hi everyone, Just wanted to keep those who are interested in the Pete do up to date with what's happening. As far as sorting venues... have found one that is potentially available the first three Saturdays of the month ... and another I am looking at for a Friday night. As for sorting a date... where's a 'tearing your hair out' smiley when you want one! I knew it wasn't going to be easy... but the way things are at the moment it's nigh on impossible to find a date that doesn't clash with at least twenty all nighters and a couple of hundred soul nights. How could anybody even consider starting up a new venue with the amount of do's already listed in the events calendar? Anyway... I just wanted to ask for your patience with this... the night is DEFINITELY going to happen... just a case of when.

I am with you 100% on this one Spot. I know that I am probably the only person on the planet who was disappointed with Butch's two visits to Burnley. I wanted him to play something that I didn't know that would blow me away to such an extent that my life would never be the same again. It's not as if he couldn't do it... I bet he could have spent his whole two hour spot doing it. But he chose not to. To have the records and not play them is something I just don't understand. Is it because we are not deemed worthy enough to hear them... or just not worth it full stop?

Perhaps because he likes the B side Paul... it could happen! What has scared the beegeebees out of me is how many people carry the Snake around in their playbox! Jesus christ on a bike... what's all that about? I am proud to say I have NEVER owned a copy of the Snake... have never even had it on tape! What I can't get my head around is when DJ's say.. "oh I really didn't want to play so and so but someone requested it.." Errm... if you really didn't want to play it... why have it in your play box? The only valid excuse imo is if it's a double sider. Otherwise.. if it ain't in your box.... you can't play it! So leave the Snake at home guys... that way you can't play it... no matter how many times your asked. Problem solved...

The Four Tracks thread got me thinking... Would you play a record you hate if someone requested you for it? I would love to own a copy of the Four Tracks... cos I think 'Voo Doo Man' is a cracker of a record. I can't stand 'Like My Love For You'... but seeings as you can't have one without the other.. it's in your play box. Would you stick it on if you were asked... even though you hate it? I haven't got a clue what I'd do... so maybe I'm gonna pass on getting one... just so's I don't have to decide!
