Know what.. i had Maria Willingham play this for me last Middleton... sounded absolutely fantastic.. as you say 'proper' northern. Seriously.. how good is this record!

Have to say.. i like things better now than back then... once Sunday came... you probably wouldn't have any contact with anybody you knew through being on the soul scene until the following weekend. While... in some cases.. this was a definitely a good thing... i wouldn't want to be without my daily soul fix for anything. God how sad am i ....although... i suspect i'm far from alone on that one

I... too... have been on the scene through thick and thin.. as have a good number of people on here... and i too have spent much of that time in great company.. including all the people you have listed. And... i agree Tats has incredible taste.. and awesome records... can't remember the last time i saw him at a northern soul allnighter though... plus i'm not really sure how much he would want to DJ on the northern side of things again anyway. I'm with you though... the soul scene would be a much richer place with people like Tats and Rob in it
