I didn't know Carlos -Carl Wong- had died, I'm gutted, Me and Ricky Warburton knew him from being little boys in Ordsall, when his parents had the bakery there, and used to go up to Cadishead in the early 70's where he did a night in a local WMC, where we met Brian Walker for the first time. He had a great collection, knew he'd moved to the States. Great lad, worst news I've had for a while

Far better than the vocal IMO, Amazed how many people don't know it. Give it a whirl now and again-mainly to see the look of surprise when the folks start singing and The Trammps don't..

Spot on, when did all these divisions start to appear ?? R&B, crossover,funky,gospel ???? I know I've said it before, but we select whatever fits from the broad church of Soul, they get played, if they work they become a Northern Soul Sound, at least I think that's how it worked
