I've been selling some stuff lately and a few items I promised that if I ever sold , I'd give certain individuals 'first refusal' for what I paid them for it Obviously, prices have gone up over the last few years and I was wondering if I should feel obliged to sell; 1) To the original seller 2) At the original price? Anyone else been in this predicament?

If it is an issue / stock copy that was at one time for sale on the open market, then he's talking twaddle. (Records are not like computer software, where the makers licence the product to the purchaser.) Theoretically, demonstration copies should not be for sale as they are owned by the issuing company. Also theoretically, returned stock e.g. records with the drill hole, shouldn't be on the market
