Well Steptoe I did say I agreed with you on some points of what you said but like you I don't really give a monkey's coz we've all got our own memories and let's face it if we all thought the same and liked the same it would be a boring old world. My hubby started going in about '75 and he remembers loads going on then but not gonna go into what he's said as it may start another argument . Anyway I may see you on Sunday as we're gonna try and pop down to the sink used to go years ago used to love it, our youngest is 18 on Sunday so we may go out for dinner in Liverpool and send the kids home and pop in for a couple of hours. I used the word shit coz that's what peeps have said to me about the years that I went but as I said most of em had stopped going by this time, I'll still never forget the first time I walked through the doors the atmosphere was amazing and it was packed out. Do agree with you about some of the above though had my membership nicked and it was actually taken buy one of the girls from Runcorn my home town but could never prove it. Also remember the parents of one of the lads from Runcorn coming into Wigan they never found him but he was in big trouble when he got home, think he must have been 18 at the time but his parents had heard all kinds of stories most of them wrong of course . Agree with you there Harry, I've found that most peeps that say the casino was shit after that date were the peeps that had stopped going anyway and started having kids etc so how they can comment is beyond me, there's a few couples from our way that always say that there a bit older than me and Kev but my answer is always the same if you wern't there how would you know. Hiya Biff We heard something the other week about Birchfield but it wasn't that it had finished someone told us that you'd had a few problems with the club and that you were moving to somewhere else. I honestly can't remember who told us but we were out at a soul nite/niter and that was about 4 or 5 weeks ago. Loads of club's have clamped down on the use of talc because of the health and safety issues, we have a constant battle with ours but most do try to stick to the new rules we even mop up afterwards if someone uses it at our do bit of a pain at 3 in the morning but it keeps everyone happy. Funny you should mention the train Pete neither me or Kev could remember what time it used to get into Wigan you lot were already on it and I used to get on at Warrington but the time escapes me.
