Wasn't it released on a Sevens promo?
  6. Doesn't seem so long ago that he had it up for £25 , what's caused the rise?
  7. Deon Jackson has to be one of my favourite artistes . I've been after a copy of That's What You Do To Me for a while, but I don't want it on that horrible red with black lines/writing label, so I've misssed out on quite a few copies . Any chance of Mr Croasdell or someone legitimately releasing Someday The Sun Will Shine b/w I Remember The Feeling? Anyway here's my meagre collection for perusal .
  8. Yes, on Ady Croasdell's Horaces label, with Carla Thomas I'll Never Stop Loving You on the other side.
  9. How can you go wrong with names like Wylie, Hester, Terry, McLaughlin and Deon Jackson on a label (not forgettin' what tune's on the other side )?
  10. The first Deon Jackson single I bought...

  12. No, it doesn't. All train companies have their own lost property offices, only lost property to go to Baker Street is stuff found on tube, buses or TFL's London Overground services.
  13. I think these were my last 5, but I'm not 100% certain, I seem to lose track somehow . CYNTHIA & THE IMAGINATIONS: Is There Anyone, Anywhere (Magic City) RAY POLLARD: The Drifter (United Artists) VIRGIL MURRAY: I Still Care (Airtown) EDDIE FLOYD: I’ve Never Found A Girl (Stax) VALERIE & NICK: I’ll Find You (Glover) plus I've been picking up the odd 100 Club anniversary single here & there in the past few months, amongst which have been... 6T1 - Mary Love - Hey Stoney Face / Ikettes - It's Been So Long / Etta James - The Wallflower 6T9 - Teardrops - Here Comes Loneliness / Chubby Checker - You Can't Lose Something You Never Had 6T10 - Phil Terrell - Love Has Passed Me By / Vic And John - Why Did She Lie

Paramount Four on Joe Dunlop list in sales, I believe.
  19. Nocker, there was a thread a couple of years ago about 1st issue 7" UK singles, that had previously been unreleased or US only. Anyway you may find it interesting, then again maybe not .
  20. Here's one that first got me into this music, but is probably one of those that records that some never want to hear again played out tony clarke - landslide - soul-tbc Secondly here's one from the Checker label, enjoy ... cash mccall - i'm in danger - checker
  21. Here's one from me ... major lance - do the tighten up - dakar Now if someone can post an alltime favourite of mine it'll be appreciated, You Don't Want Me No More.
  22. This is probably aimed more at the record dealers rather than buyers. I have seen on a few occasions that record sellers are willing to accept instalment payments for records. Now for someone like myself who never spends more than £70 - £80 at the most on anyone record (except once when pie-eyed and bidding on Ebay ), I've been unable to buy a couple of items I'd love to have. I'm digressing, what I'd like to know is what sort of terms are acceptable? Would it be acceptable to pay for say a £200 record in instalments of say £50 or £20 per month? I mean how long would sellers be willing for someone to pay? How low on instalments would you be willing to accept? Does accepting instalments help with sales? Personally, I've always been too embarrassed to ask for fear of causing any offence to anyone. Anyway it's just something that has been puzzling me for a little while. If you don't want to post in public as to avoid any possible future exploitation, I'll understand.
  23. Just saw this on ebay, is just the sleeve worth so much? MARIE-KNIGHT-45-PICTURE-SLEEVE-OKEH-NORTHERN-SOUL

Quite often people post on here asking for values/going rates for records. So you could just post up a list (including details such as condition, original/reissue, etc.,) on here asking for values. There's always someone willing to answer and post up values. This is normally followed by another poster contradicting those values first supplied .
  25. Whilst out with the wife in Kingston the other day I popped into a small antiques shop (containing various stalls/sellers). Nothing really grabbing my attention until I saw the ultimate Northern Soul accessory . On the price ticket it claimed to be Rare 70's Northern Soul Original Adidas bag. 70's??? with Forest Town & Kingsway Soul Patches and the price for this most desirable item....sold to the soulie with more money than sense £45! Excuse quality of pics took with my basic Nokia, couldn't take any more. I was getting embarrassed thinking people assuming I wanted to buy it.
