  1. I was told you can generally get a bit more for northern than the price RC price guide. But it all boils down to the fact that a record is only worth what a person is prepared to pay for it. What did it go for?
  2. Thanks, too late for Jan but Sept sounds good (might have to come on my own, wifes not too fond of hurricanes!)
  3. Thanks for taking time out to e-mail Mark. Appreciate your point of view col
  4. Hi everyone. Look fwd to catching up with everyone in the new year Best regards Col Ps Alan I went to the shop today & spent a lot of money with Derek. I was expecting something a bit more personal from you guys, like a telegram or some flowers.
  5. I am sure your comments are well meaning, but, the first half comes across as a bit pious the second half is equivalent to fanning the flames with a liberal dose of petrol. Col.
  6. Hi Dave Site looking good. Have an option of taking a break in Orlando (Kisimee) this year - any events planned? Had a quick look on site but couldn't see anything. Best regards Col.
  7. It was originally Paul Philips the editor. They just made the name up to make it more interesting.
  8. Yes, I like it too.....sombody recently posted a sound file in the bizarre northern thread Mine is Picture Me Gone - Madeline Bell

  12. Soulsmith's Blog Posted by Soulsmith, 30 December 2005 Not so long ago there were 4 of us. Packed into a rusty old Ford Cortina heading for Yate, Coalville, Peterborough, Wigan and various points en route. Now there are 2 of us. Paul died 20 years ago & Bob died today. I'm absolutely gutted. Not too sure what to make of it all really. OK here's what I really think - Live For Today. Get the most out...
  13. What use are the spares to you? Why not let somebody else appreciate them? Col Ps sorry not meant to sound quite so out-spoken, but still interested in reply
  14. Truly awesome! Love the whoo-hoo & love the record. Thanks! Col.
  15. Seem to remember you giving me a bit of a talking to......
  16. Good work Richard, & I actually have 2 of them - not saying which ones though!
  17. Knowing you as I do Derek (I think we have met the once!) - I bet you've got a lead on him. Col
  18. Just picked this up off Moldie tonight. Brilliant track from '74 & a superb example of the artists using a completely un-necessary "whoo - hoo" to good effect. Any other examples out there?
  19. Nice work guys, now we're really motoring. Can't beleive I've said that - just going to nip out back & blow my brains out. Second thoughts, Ian any chance of a CD swap? No, no, no...........I want that CD! Deletion is not an option.
  20. Barbara Lee - Think Morecambe & Wise "Give Me Sunshine" circa '79 Vandalettes - Really like it in a weird way too. Plus its just the sort of record Chalky will probably hate, so that makes it more enjoyable. Col
